3 Health Problems to Note About Baby Boys

TCE Baby16 April 202423

If you have baby boys, they might be open to attack from three specific health problems, so it's important for parents to pay attention.

Cryptorchidism

This health problem can happen when a baby's testicles don't descend into the scrotum after birth. It's more common in premature babies. If you can't feel the testicles in the scrotum, it might be cryptorchidism. If the testicles don't descend within the first six months naturally, surgery may be involved to help cure this problem.

Inguinal Hernia

This health problem happens when a part of the intestine pushes through the inguinal canal into the groin area. It can cause a soft lump in the thigh or scrotum. If not treated soon after being discovered, it can lead to further problems. Surgery is usually needed to help get rid of this problem.

Hydrocele

This health problem occurs when fluid accumulates around the testicle. It forms a soft lump in the thigh or scrotum. Small hydroceles may heal on their own, but larger ones might need surgery to prevent more problems.

If you notice any unusual lumps on your baby boy or suspect these health problems happening to them, it's best to consult a doctor immediately to avoid missing treatment chances.
